Zen & Flow

Zen

Emphasizing the value of meditation and intuition.

Flow

To go from one place to another in a steady stream.

Meditation

A precise technique for resting the mind and attaining a state of consciousness that is totally different from the normal waking state.

I have mastered the concept of #Flow but still need lots of help with the #Zen piece. To help, I have been using #Headspace to clear my mind. My thoughts often drift but I am always able to bring them back into focus. I've realized how hard it is to ignore the everyday distractions. It takes work to drown out the noise.

How Can I Set The Stage To Find My Zen?

Have you tried using Sage or Smudging? The act of smudging is done with a smudge bowl or Abalone Shell with the appropriate herbs directly lit or burned on a coal or Charcoal Tablet. When using charcoal tablets, the bowl or shell should be filled with sand or a flat stone to prevent overheating the container. Smudging is also done with herbs tied in bundles called Smudge Sticks.

Sage comes in several varieties. Healers and herbalists typically use white sage, also known as California or bee sage, for burning. Common sage, lavender sage, blue sage, black sage, and other types each have their own unique qualities. For example, blue sage is used in cleansing and healing rituals, while desert sage is used for purifying and protection.

Zen & Flow is about finding ways to stay focused on your #SelfCare. Channeling your energy towards positivity and being able to reset after a tough week is important to your mental health. Think about using meditation practices to help gain balance in your everyday life. Your Zen & Flow will look different from others but keep striving to find it.

Daily Affirmations

Speak happiness, love, and abundance into your life daily. There is #Power in speaking things out loud so you hear yourself say it! Stop claiming negativity over your life!

I Think, Therefore I Am.png

Your brain doesn't know the difference in just joking around and negativity. It's all NEGATIVE.

Daily Affirmations are important because your brain doesn't know the difference in just joking around and negativity. It's all NEGATIVE. Speak #Positive vibes over your life and watch things change. One of the changes I've personally made is instead of saying I'm Broke, I say I'm Pre-Rich!

We hope you have allowed yourself to take a moment to breathe today and claim peace over your life. There is so much going on in the world that is weighing heavily on a lot of us. Find a few minutes to breathe and release that burden. We can only control so much. Let go of what you can.

This daily affirmation When You Feel Broken is a prayer I wrote after my brother died. I needed words to help me get through the grief. Because so much is happening in the world, I wanted to share it in hopes that it would provide encouragement for others. Find strength in knowing you are not alone in whatever you are battling. Feel your emotions for a moment, but do not let it consume your day. Claim your strength. #TakeCare

DIY Cleansing Wipes & Why you need Them!

Your skin absorbs up to 60 % of your personal care products

Your skin is the largest organ of your body consisting of an absorption and penetration system. Depending on the toxin, absorption happens in the bloodstream and penetration happens within the deep layers of the skin. If you are still using products that contain sulfates, parabens, and all the other yucky stuff, your body is absorbing that. Just to put it into perspective, we use lotion, soap, and deodorant on a daily basis.

That's 365 days that our skin is trying to fight off toxins in ALL of those non- green products!

This is why you should cleanse your skin everyday! Sleeping in makeup preages your skin, traps dirt underneath the surface, and doesn't allow your skin cells to renew. So each night, I begin my skin care routine with either a DIY makeup remover/clarifying wipe or a simple store bought option.

This is how I make my own DIY Cleansing wipes.

What you will need:

  • 4 oz container & top

  • 5 Cotton Pads

  • 2 TBS Organic Coconut Oil

  • 2 TBS Organic Castor Oil

Directions: Insert the cotton pads into the container, pour the melted coconut oil, and castor oil over the pads. Once the pads are saturated, you can use them to cleanse your skin! Simple right!! Click here to see the video and store recommendations or watch below!
